World Rhino Day 2021- September 22
World rhino day is celebrated on September 22nd every year to create awareness about the African and
Asian species of rhinos and encourage people to take steps for conservation of these endangered species.
This day was announced by World Wildlife Fund- South Africa in 2010 and the day got International
recognition in 2011. This year the theme of the World Rhinoceros day 2021 is.. “Keep the five alive.”

National Threatened Species Day- 2021, September 7
National Threatened species day is commemorated across the country on 7th September.
The reason behind celebrating this day is to raise awareness of plants and animal species at the risk of extinction. On this day we highlight the importance of native plants, animals and ecosystems that are under threat and the measures that we can take to protect them into the future.
